Text : On Wednesday, a number of Argentinian social movements and trade unions led by the Argentine Workers' Central Union (CTA) announced the so-called Federal March protesting against the social policy implemented by Argentine President Mauricio Macri in order to bring groups of its supporters to the country's capital. The TeleSUR TV-channel reported Friday that around 200,000 people from across the country arrived at Plaza de Mayo, the main square of Buenos Aires. The broadcaster added that the protesters demanded the country's government to review its social policy and to implement the agreements already signed with protesters. Macri was elected Argentinian president in December 2015. Since then, Buenos Aires has been cutting social programs and government expenditures. The government measures have also resulted in the growth of unemployment and tariffs across the country.
